Will this have some more backstory in it? Will it tie in with Prometheus?
I found the older copy that was done years ago when Alien came out, hey Sparks, do you have it?

I guess these guys revised it and perhaps, added more things into it....
Another book coming out May 29, 2012...
The Book of Alien...

There are a lot of Alien books coming out in May...and I mean a lot...looks like Alien is with Promtheus huh? lol....
I am saving up my money for all of this, lol...
Mind you, some of these are older books being re-released in new packaging. All except for the Prometheus art book, which is due out June 5th.
I still have the original copy of the illustrated story. It was clearly done before a lot of stuff was finalized (the alien was brown in color and about 25ft tall in the illustrated story) I used to have the story book that used stills from the movie but I lost it. Wish I still had that one.
Man, I loved 'THE BOOK OF ALIEN' when it came out, which showed heaps of great production art. I only wish I'd known about 'ALIEN THE ILLUSTRATED STORY' at the time too, as I missed out on that. I've always meant to get a copy, so it's neat to see it being re-issued.
Something I'm really looking forward to will be the 'PROMETHEUS - THE ART OF THE FILM' book that's coming. It should be awesome.
I own the ALIEN Movie Novel. At the time, I wasn't old enough to see the movie, so the movie-novel was the next best thing. Unfortunately, I gave my ALIEN Illustrated Story book to my brother-in-law years and years ago. Looking forward to owning it again with the re-issue.
hey, if you guys want to be kept up to date about all info regarding the reprints of "Alien: The Illustrated Edition", come check out and become a fan of the Official FB page http://www.facebook.com/AlienTIS
We're incredibly excited about this being back in print.
I sure hope they don't update it. The original was done by Archie Goodwin, a legend of the comics industry. Anyway, trust me guys, it's very cool and the way it mixes up some of the story's minor details is very interesting.
@craigamore - the core content is not being changed in the reprints. The B&W edition will have a bunch of unseen and extra stuff after the artwork, but the color reprint will essentially be the same, just better looking.
Cool....thanks shoveke.....to those who have not had the good fortune of reading it.....enjoy my friends, you're in for a real treat.
