I can't really take credit for this. This is what is noted by someone from another forum. There are already holes in the sarcophagi when David activated the Star Map. It throws all kinds of speculation in the air. Have the sleeping Engineer been infected with their own virus/worm/slithering parasites? Will these be the source of all kinds of monstrosities later in the film?
