The real purpose of the urns

The urns are really those fancy cardboard things that each hold a bottle of single malt Scotch whisky. The SJs are really a race of lushes, and they get angry when Prometheus finds this out and starts drinking their stuff. They then leave for Earth to unleash their wrath on the humans and terraform Earth's oceans into whisky for themselves.
