You should have been worried when it became known Lindelof got this film. He can't seem to keep his hands off the old time-travel schtick and I don't want to see that here.

Hey, i heard that since Ridley is gonna' be busy for awhile... Bill Shatner is directing the Prometheus sequel.
..."Why would a space jockey need a starship?"
Obvious answer... To crash it... Again.

Well, I thought the "Shadow 19" was a pretty darn good story. Oddly enough, the ship in that story was named Prometheus as well. If Spaigths writes anything close to that, and it becomes a film- I will be going to see it. "Passengers" was kinda slow, but an original story too. He claims R. Scott used "nearly all" of his original story for the Prometheus film, so I have no reservations about it. Lindeloff gives me pause far more so than Spaiths does...

PS.
As for the mummy, and I'm serious this time, guess what Hollywood is ready to re- boot next?
Wait for it...
Remember, I'm being serious...
I have this on good faith from a guy on the inside...
Ready?
Transformers.
Seriously. I kid you not.

O_O.. You're serious, Transformers... Wow. Where did you read that?

@db; Tell your friends I never saw the end because i stopped watching after the 2nd season. LOL!
A story is supposed to guide you, inspire you, and yes make you ask questions; but when the story becomes a total enigma and you have no satisfying answers you generally lose interest. That is what happened to me with LOST.

I teach video/film production in Florida and a former student has done rather well in the entertainment business out in LA the last few years. He was visiting about a month back and told me.

And, omfg they really do wanna re-make it.. wow
About David Lindoff, I hated "Lost" after the 2nd season and hope to god this movie will be nothing like that with the flashbacks, time travel and parallel timelines. :/

That does not surprise me in the slightest. This time there had better be some Unicron and Galvatron action!!!

@Forever War
You may as well have spoken for me, practically word-for-word.
Lindelof is the one aspect of this that makes me anxious.

@ Svanya:
Yes, I agree. I have very good friends who write ALOT out in LA and make a good living at it (tough to do), who LOVED LOST and said it wasn't about the ending... it was about the journey.
Really?
I call BS! As far as I'm concerned all 6 seasons were the delusional god-complex imaginings of Jack's last 30 secs. of consciousness as his mind tried to make sense of his life and everyone elses's around him as they dropped from 30,000 ft. to 0 ft.
The short scenes of burning pieces of plane wreckage after the closing credits said it all.
Ever watch "Incident at Owl Creek Bridge"? Youtube it if you haven't and you'll see what I mean.
