The best way to go would be to just nab a couple of the Aliens Omnibus'
Theres 6 of them in total and they capture pretty much anything that you could imagine with aliens. The first book picks up directley after the events of ALIENS and feature Hicks and Newt in the direct storyline. Theres also a 8 part that follows a squad of Colonial Marines. Great stories. All of em. Best Part is theres 6 of them that are all at least 350+ pages of alien awesomeness. I like to use tfaw.com to order em!
I have looked and looked and cannot find a copy of that book anywhere and I want it so bad...sure, I can find the "Aliens Omnibus" everywhere, but THAT all in "oner" which includes the original ALIEN with no "s" OMNIBUS...nope. i AM ASHAMED TO SAY i GAVE UP looking.
@ Spartacus
That PDF has the original Alien, Aliens, and Aliens 3 in one file. Or you talking the actual hard copy? Man Ive totally switched to digital books. I got a nook.
got it all now.
the 3 book pdf of the novilizations.
the 3 book Dark Horse illustrated stories for Alien, Alien3 and Rez.
the entire illustrated Aliens Omnibus series.
The Martian Chronicles by Ray Bradbury, "The book lies somewhere between a short story collection and an episodic novel, containing stories Bradbury originally published in the late 1940s in science fiction magazines". This is a quick read about the colonization of Mars, If you like Twilight Zone, or Sci-Fi this is Required reading.
I have yet to read his Alien: No Exit (or Dead Space: Martyr), but Brian Evenson(B.K. Evenson) is an excellent writer of his own material. Highly recommend his books--check out Last Days or one of his short story collections.
You like Foster's adaptations?
I have to recommend this!

Sweet. Im checking it out. BTW Im half way through the first book. Pretty interesting to read about the psychology of the cat :P.
Aliens:Steel Egg was great. If a direct Alien prequel were to be made, then this is the book to do it from.
@Carlos: yes, the podcast I posted a link to has some hilarious things to say about the inner mental processes of the cat!
