Prometheus Rating?

yes, but hopefully there will be no chest bursters in this movie! At least i am hoping that. let that side of things die for a few....decades.

I think 15 here in the UK. But hell it's the film not the rating, lets just judge the film on it's own merits. Gladiator was a 15 and there's plenty of blood in that film (a mace in the face anyone?) plus what you can't see is sometimes more scary as your brain will try to fit in the pieces for you. The thing that scared me most in Alien (an 18cert) when I was 9, was the freaky closing hatcshes in the air ducts, I had nightmares about that sound lol

There's never going to happen that way. I mean, they can't release the same movie with different ratings at the same time. If I'm right, 90 days must pass until they can release the same movie with a different rating. MPAA says, it's all about to not to confuse the viewer. Idiots.

You guys remember the movie "300?" The budget was 65 million, and it grossed 460 million and it was rated R. I think Prometheus would be okay, if it's one hell of a sci-thriller-horror epic that's rated R. It's cost is a little more than double that of "300", and I would think that 460 million at a minimum would be decent. It would probably gross more internationally than domestically, too.

It's all about revenue for Riddles. He's going to release the watered-down version in theaters and then later on we will have the "unrated director's cut" on DVD. That way he gets to sell the same film twice. He is a businessman, after all.

I know Beowulf was animated, but it was extremely disturbing as far as violence went, and I swear everytime I watch it I think I see parts of Angelina's character that shouldn't be part of a PG13 movie.

Ohhhh yes...there were several blanks in Beowulf. Yeah, her body is way nicer when animated anyways. In real life she looks like Skeletor.
