Hearing things

Did anyone else notice that in the new trailer, after showing some holographic clips of SJ's, the question is asked "Where WERE they going?" and the response "To earth". In otherwords, they're watching some sort of playback of SJ's leaving the planet to go to earth, possibly in the long distant past? Or maybe I'm just hearing things.

Yeah, they "WERE" going somewhere, as in the past---but how long ago? Last week? Last month? Last year? 10 years ago? 10000000000 years ago? It could be ANY time frame...that'll be interesting to work through mentally once the movie comes out.

I don't think there is a 'where' in the sentence. I think the question is 'Where (are) they going'. They aren't enunciating the 'are' very clearly so it sounds like 'where er they going'

Tell you what I am hearing....the soundtrack sounding very good indeed (esp in the new trailer walking into the ampule room), and Janek being the wiseass, and Shaw with a very Cockney sounding 'what is that' line. Also liking the Krzysztof-esque stabs - very Shining

Speaking of hearing things, I swear they dubbed in Lambert's death gurglings from Alien in the scene in the trailer right around where the cobra thing makes it's appearance. Anybody else hearing that? Maybe it's just me...
