IMAX 3D or Real3D?

I just went to an IMAX movie, and can't comment on the real3d. Maybe the local theater is real 3d. If so, then I don't see much difference. However, the IMAX required that I keep my head straight up and down, or I would see split images. The effect seemed nice with a postproduction quality 3d movie, John Carter. I am sure Prometheus will be fine on either versions since it was filmed with proper 3d cameras.

3d glasses bug my ears...and end up being sore.....also 3d gives me a head ache.....so its a bastard in 3d for me..

Thanks for posting this Derezz. I am anxious to pre-purchase tix & am trying to figure out same. If others w/ experience in this area can also kindly provide feedback, that would be appreciated. I saw Tron and U2 in Imax 3d and both were great. U2 incorporated 3d technology assisted by 3ality, I believe Prometheus did also, so I'm prepared to be impressed either way.
