Skull temple in original Alien

If you keep watching the first 35 minutes of Alien because you can't wait for Prometheus you start to notice things... - faces in the weather patterns of the large ringed planet - outlines of what could be a skull temple in the background of the final panoramic shot of the Derelict before the 3 characters enter the vag-doors, (27.15 into the director's cut)

Get some screen shots going. People see faces in clouds and on mars, not to mention Jesus face on a piece of toast. I once spent a terrifying 3 minutes thinking Death had come for me one night but i was a coat hanging near a banister with odd shadows.

i can see what you mean chthon i think its definitely subjective. in spite of that, this a good observation

Someone posted the trading card set from the original film yesterday, there are some excellent shots of the murals on the planet and all that. The giger mural are in it. I didn't see that temple though.

All the backlit shapes on the surface did seem to suggest something, but I never got the impression they were meant to do anything more than precede the first sight of the derelict...kind of set your mind up for the weirdness of that.
