yes, they most definitely are i keyed onto that the first time i saw this image, i'd guess it's Scott's way of tying in all of the Earthly alien lore that has been debating for so many years now i think it's a pretty cool and subtle nod to certain conspiracies

Save it and load it up and look down on that edge and you tell me that that little lump of browny-grey is not the 'Tail-End' of 'The Juggernaught' in-flight just prior to the Prometheus ramming into it! What do you think about it?

Except here , in this case and upon this planet the 'Lines' are in fact the entire alien 'Temple Mount' complex itself! Makes sense in a way!

Imean either deliberately exposed in a partial manner upon the planetoids surface, else, dust has blown and aquired itself all over the 'original' layout and the entire alien 'Temple Mount' complex got buried 'up to its neck' figuratively speaking as did the Pyramids at Giza in Eygypt.

The Nazca lines are drawn in the shapes of earthly creatures. I wonder if some of the lines on LV223 may show some unearthly creatures perhaps.
