Mural Significance Spoiler?

There was a lot of discussion on this board about the murals and the significance of the creature that is seated at the lower left of the Space Jockey/ Engineer. Does the movie even reference the significance of that mural or is scene and gone within seconds? Does that creature make an appearance in the movie? seems like a waste of great foreshadowing if isn't used

from what I have been hearing--and this would be a *MAJOR spoiler* [i]is that the floppy eared, dog-like alien creature at the right side of the humanoid character in the mural is actually what bursts out of the Engineer who tries to kill Shaw![/i]

if we're LUCKY, Prometheus is a well-thought-out and fully-fledged TIRLOGY if we're UNLUCKY, Lindelof was 'winging it'. ;)

Guys, does anyone have a picture or anything of the murals? I saw the movie last night but the murals changed so fast I couldn't make out what was on them
