Trying to be too much like "2001: A Space Odyssey"?

"They are trying to get way too deep for a "Alien" film. Alien wasn't meant to be that kind of movie. " Well I guess it's a good thing this isn't an Alien film then. Anyway, I think it's pretty easy to see why Ridley went this direction. In alien, it doesn't really make sense as to how a creature (facehugger) would be perfectly designed to attach to humans's faces to create xenomorphs if there wasn't something deeper going on. This movie explains why that is, and it has a much more meaningful story than any of the Alien films did.
