MemberOvomorphJun-03-2013 7:20 AMWhy does the hammerpede kill milburn in the way that it does? Was it trying to impregnate him? Or is it just the method of mutated earth worms use to kill?
"how do you feel?"-" great, next stupid question"
It was just establishing its dominance. But seriously, I think that's just the method it took to kill him. That seems like the best way for that creature to kill, lacking arms and legs and what not
Not a map, an invitation
Also for a parallel with it and classic Morb behavior, so we understand it's lineage. They just wanna get inside you. It's that whole oral violation thing, it was all over Alien. At that size they like to do things in warm huuuumanns. Mmmmmm... *snuggly*.
Lmao @ Major,
Completely agree. An homage to the classic Giger killer sexuality.
Snuggly, lol. You continue to crack me up, Sir.

Yeah i agree its a nod to Giger etc lol....
But it does leave a lot of ambiguity, however it could appear it simply killed Milburn by Suffocation as it would have cut off the air supply while it was stuck down his throat.
We may never find out if it has in anyway planted Eggs, Embryos or what ever. But one thing is for sure it does not die like the Face Hugger as we see the Hammerpede jumps from out of Dead Milburns mouth and scurries away.

Major,
Beautifully done- you just made my week!
(People always think its an inuendo or something)
How refreshing.

The hammer-head-centipede or xenocobra was, like, surfin' Milburn's dude entrails and what-not. Jon Spaihts's script was tighter, though, had better gruesome all-round acid burns and the creature came out through the teeth, not skull-fraked him like that.
No offence, but... I aint here to be your friend. Im here to make comments, you got that?
