Ridley preparing to film Paradise Lost in Australia in January!

2 months :O ....

Well, I guess many of us were correct in our speculation as to why Ridley made the trip to Australia last year.  I remember the pictures of him walking through the airport and at a pub.

Not sure if the crew will trek across to Western Australia or Northern Territory, but there are some interesting things out there that could be used to represent parts of the Engineer's planet.  For example Wave Rock, Mitchell Falls, Pinnacles, Bungle Bungles, Stromatolites in Shark Bay, The Olgas as well as different gorges (like in Kimberley), natural arches, caves, etc.  All of which can look "otherwordly".

Cool..or should i say hot? Summer in Australia...find a nice cool cave...Would hate to be wearing a spacesuit.

Can't wait for the first set pics.

Other reports he said he is starting to work with Fassbender in Febuary.... but this could mean January we will see scenes shot that dont include Fassbender, but we have to remember that just because some Scenes are shot latter does not mean they are latter scenes from the movie.... the first shoots they could do, could be the End of the movie, the 2nd set of shoots could be the start of the movie and 3rd set of shoots could be the middle of the movie.. What i am saying is order of shooting does not reflect the order of the movie...

But indeed it looks like work will start in January and Australia  but this does not mean we will get Australia locations for locations of Paradise or where ever.... they could be using just the Studios.... they can also use locations from Australia  and using after effects turn a Redish brown desert landscape with huge rock formations and little vegitation into a dark location with no vegitation like LV 426...
