Why would the bio-tech come from synthetics and not engineers?

good theory,i believe the armour the engineers wear is a suit, as we come from them we would have the same features in some form. the theory is that the xeno we know is a bio-mech creature which would imply organic matter has been mixed with mechanical at some stage which suggest manipulation and david/walter seem the most logical choice as they would have the knowledge of cloning and david inparticular seems to be very curious so it would fit that he experiments with the alien dna/black goo and possibly walter

I believe the engineers to be the creation of the original space jockeys who were biomechanical in nature.. They are also the creators of the black ooze...they created the engineers to be their workers from the original ooze..along with the alien egg embryos etc...these were then worshipped as the perfect organisms...as seen in mural...after time passes by the engineers begin to resent the space jockeys as they would not share the info and designs on the ooze and xeno s....they plotted to copy their technology and wipe out the space jockey race using their own creation against them( planting eggs in their ships) making them the higher beings and allowing them to experiment with the ooze...making us,among other organisms...this is why the xenos created by engineers are not biomechanical at first as they have not the right DNA to replicate space jockeys...until David comes along with his experiment s....I believe David will find ancient info on space jockeys origins and recreate the xeno we know n love by end of trilogy...

yeah that could be one scenario but remebemr the scene where david first enters the 'cockpit' of the engineers in Prometheus.before the door opens there are what appears to be suits on either side which to me suggest the engineers put these on and they are not part of theyr anatomy

Engineers simply wear a compression suit, it's not apart of them. Hence why the Deacon is so fleshy/organic.

though there are 2 possible scenarios

1.the xeno is a very old species and has evolved a hardened exoskeleton due to its environment. many species on earth had evolved this trate such as insects, beetles for example, some species of ant are described as armoured and have evolved these hardened shells for defence and other reasons. if the xeno has naturally evolved this armour then it would be probable that the species is an ancient one.

2.and this is what I believe will be the scenario ridley will be looking at...is that davids experiments produce the armoured xeno we know. I think the alien in the shower scene is a xeno as I think he is going back to the lambert incident in the original, as the trailor suggests to me that it is not its tail that appears to stroke the womans leg, going back to the suggestive scene with lambert

Human + Human DNA + a sprinkle of black goo = Deacon - Flesh, as was Shaw's baby as she extracted it!

Irony of it is that the best shot of the Bio-Alien in the original film is the Lambert scene, you can see pipes and the head is almost camouflage looking and we know that the teeth look metal

Surley synthetic tampering will result in this strand on Xeno?

My belief is the Alien as we all know is derived from the more modern engineer (like the deacons daddy) that seems to be biomechanical in nature (there is clearly more than a pressure suit going on with him if you look at the anatomy on the back/sides of his neck) vs the robed, non-mech engineers in the beginning. I suspect that the biomech engineers may actually be synthetics/androids left behind to finish whatever it was that they were doing (that, or they are an alternate/evolved engineer race that embraced biotechnology) The xenos certainly more closely resemble the engineers and their technology. I can't really explain why the deacon itself is not more visually biomechanical. Perhaps it just shared more genetics from grandma Shaw than from its engineer host. I kinda wish they had sculpted the Deacons top teeth to match Shaws teeth. Perhaps it's offspring will bear more biomech traits after several generations of using biomech engineers as hosts. God only knows how many of them were left in cryo sleep on the planet.

why not both!? i do believe the xeno looks a little android and a little engineer.....AND SURELY!!! ...the black goo has a little engineer dna in it. why wouldn't it?? if its already there and someone tosses in some android, and a little dash of shaw, maybe we get a xeno??

Engineer and xenos are connected..their appearance is undeniably similar.

Xenos can be the refined version of what we will see in covenant callled the protoxeno.

If the engineers made their suits from xeno biotech the deacon should have birth biomech and it didnt..so they have to grab the primitive version and engineer it with armor and etc,turning it into a perfected weapon..if the derelict is so hold then they did it long ago before prometheus.
