Going back to the last few scenes at the end of Prometheus, Shaw retrieves her crucifix from David, and that’s all. David removed all items from her before scanning her in the med bay. What I find intriguing is how Daniels discovers Shaw’s dog tags. Is what we are seeing in the trailer bait for a trap? I don’t see the dog tags as being representative of Shaw’s fate. If however there was Shaw’s crucifix there instead that would be another matter. Anybody else got thoughts on this?

I thought the same thing myself first time we saw this. I don't recall Shaw having anything but her crucifix on her before departing LV-223. However they could have been in a suit pocket for all we know. She apparently brought some supplies with David prior to leaving, given that she takes refuge in the ship's hyper sleep chamber.

I think Shaw's fate is quite the opposite to what we think. I think she will be the film's biggest and best kept secret.

Imagine if she is experimented on by David to be the first QUEEN XENOMORPH?! lol sorry, had to plant that idea for y'all.

Great point on the dog tags...all this mental masturbation over this movie has got me overlooking basic stuff. What if the dog tags are a trap set by David for the Covenant crew...?if not a trap possibly something to distract/deter/throw them off task...?
