@snake heh like i say I'm well used to it and expect it...i worry if no one reacts and even invite it sometimes :D . The heated debates are one of the best things to come out of this series i want to see more of these films but hopefully it gets better :S ...

Big Dave: there is a lot of uncalled for and unwanted negativity being freely posted lately that is getting on mine and others nerves. I could quite easily dismiss Inquisitor Fifield as he mainly replied in posts, not started them. But this new poster and the others we have lately are just negative garbage after negative garbage posts that I have yet to see contribute anything worthwhile and have stunk the site up.

Obviously, I'm not alone in thinking this either judging by Ati and others' replies above.

Might be time to have a break and come back when things have hopefully settled like last time … :)

Why do certain people have to go crying to mommy?  If you don't like somebody criticizing your precious movie, don't read the post!  It's quite easy to tell from the post title and/or poster what it is about, so just ignore and move onto the posts that are gushing all over it!  You know what I and others can't stand?  People who complain about people having a difference of opinion!  You don't see me/us complaining that there are too many positive posts!  Quite frankly I don't like all the over the top gushing but I pull up my big boy pants and get over it!  

Oh and I have contributed PLENTY to topics in terms of theory and analysis, it hasn't all been negative you are just choosing to focus on that.

I also can't stand people who consistently continue (even after 5 years) to unnecessarily bash Prometheus, but you will never see me tastelessly complaining about that person/those people publicly.  Or in private, for that matter.  I usually just ignore (or challenge their points, depending how I am feeling), as that's what grownups do.  We could have had a nice debate addressing the issues I have with Covenant instead, but you went and blew it.

Nah, Phallic Jaw just posted a link that criticized a movie. Nothing wrong with that because criticism is good for discussion if the criticism is based on actual facts and things that make sense.
