Alien: Containment reflection- Coincidence, Homage, Coincidental Homage?

After comparing Containment with a scene from Alien Covenant, I saw what I thought were obvious shout outs. What do you think?

Homage in my opinion.I couldn't shake the Covenant comparison either when i watched it.
