Strange how many movies I saw with him but never connected him to Ash. There was something that seemed familiar but I just enjoyed the shows and never looked at credits. RIP, Sir Ian- thanks for the great movies.

RIP Sir Ian. I enjoyed your performances in many movies but I'll always remember Ash.

Kane (John Hurt), Brett (Harry Dean Stanton), Ash (Ian Holm), Mother (Helen Horton) and the Big Chap himself (Bolaji Badejo), i like to imagine them all young, waking up from the cryosleep, having breakfast and joking together, wandering through the stars.
Thanks for the ride.

RIP Ian.
"I cannot lie to you about your chances but you have my sympathies."
That line in Alien is so memorable and powerful. The incredible acting ability of Ian Holm to make that character so believable in Alien is in part why we got the other films made by RS. So his original performance in Alien was so transcending it was definitely a reason to continue with these great films.
We will all miss you so very much Ian. You gave us so much through your passion and art that is uniquely you and the incredible actors you worked with to make modern art worthy of any we have all had the pleasure to see in modern history.
We all wish your family our sincerest condolences and I treasure these works for they are priceless due to their uniqueness through these performances. I gained a once in a life time ride into new frontiers of immense wonder and profound vision.
Ian our profoundest gratitude for all that you have given through your art.
