Carlos Huante shares Space Jockey / Engineer missing link inspired artwork

Carlos Huante has yet to see Alien: Romulus according to his recent Instagram post, but he was inspired to create a missing link of sorts between the mysterious Space Jockey and the Engineers seen in Prometheus after he felt Romulus missed out on an opportunity to explain away the Space Jockey as a giant mutant.

He further went on to express that he thinks the Space Jockeys were created for a special purpose (perhaps by Engineers as well?) It certainly raises some questions and things to think about. Whether or not Carlos is onto something, it goes to show there's still a tremendous amount of curiosity still surrounding the Space Jockey and its origins.
